How many drugs do you need to do to get on this level?

KartuneHustla responds:

I think i smoked a pound of drugs all together making this. So that much

HOLY THUNDER THIGHS BATMAN!

I just don't get the plot. There wasn't anyone to save, there wasn't some dialogue, some heroic quest, some mission or reason for these events to take place. As far as we know, this chick just went to some monster dude's hour and just tore him a new asshole because she felt like it and nothing more.

There was that whole bishnit with the king, but that only further fuels the plot hole fire. He didn't say anything to her, didn't tell her to do anything, no simple allusion or generic guidance for a "quest". He simply gave her a sword and BAM. One eyed monster new butthole.

Good job on the animation and the music was fantastic. Try working on your storytelling a bit more though. Even if its just so much as the prince got hauled off by this thing or it was terrorizing some local village under the king's protection. A simple pointing gesture to the monster's castle followed by pointing to the village or prince I alluded to before and things would have been dandy.

All in all I really like it, but to give constructive criticism that's what I would like to say.

francisyfl responds:

hehe i know the story was simple and linear and kind of "meh", but when it comes to completing something for a tournament i had put some restrictions to the story and art, making it shorter, less complex, simple background, simple character design, less characters than normal, things like that to make it easier to finish. I focused mainly on the animation and the post production, but yeah ! i totally agree with you.

Everyone and their mom is making game grumps animated..... It's not even funny anymore. 2 stars for the nice animation, you have talent in that.

Esquirebob responds:

It's like the new xiao xiao ;D. But in all seriousness, I've got some more game grumps ones in the pipeline so, well, shield your eyes <3

I don't get it. I saw nothing appealing in this animation at all. The animation was half assed, there was no plot, and I honestly can't see this relating to any life situations worthy of talking about.

P.S. The only reson I'm giving this a one. Is beacuase, the voices where, pretty good.

But that's IT!

emily-youcis responds:

Good one.

Hah, now I feel like I have a better understanding of why I was having such amazing sleeps. A short while ago, about a week, I had 6 or 7 lucid dreams in a row, but I never remember waking up from any of them, almost like they fluently transitioned one to the next. I can recall nearly every detail about them, but still prefer not to tell anybody my experiences. Since then, nearly every night I have had a handful of these dreams and I feel extremely well rested and, for lack of a better word, peaceful.

I can attribute the majority of these changes to meditation. I started meditating every single night and every single day since about 2 years ago. If I ever had the urge to meditate, I simply acted on it, where ever I was. One of the best spots I've found, is in the shower, because of the white noise that helps me focus. The water falling on my head eliminates the distracting thoughts I have. I don't pretend to know what I'm talking about, but if I had to compare it to something, it would be the sound waves you have talked about in the last episodes.

Every time any of this happens, it immediately becomes the best experience of my day. It lightens my mood, and in general, I just have an AWESOME day.

In my belief, another thing that derives from the astral plane, is the sense of deja vu. Recently while playing a new game of mine, everything suddenly clicked into place and I had an extraordinary sense of deja vu from this one picture. I had seen the image before, I recognized it, and I new what was going to happen the rest of that day because of it.

This is probably the longest review I have ever written on Newgrounds, but I thought it would be enlightening to share, not for anybody reading but for myself as well. The author, Jordan, will probably never read this, but it's a fun experience to imagine that he will.

As another little surprising thing, the first time I ever meditated, was to that song. Fireflies. There was just something about it that clicked in me, and I had to try it. Refreshing surprise, thank you.

RiverJordan responds:

Don't worry, I read it! :) thanks for the awesome review, I'm glad your able to speak from your heart about such topics!

Good but...

You overemphasised certain moves and kept things very static. The biggest complaint I probably have is just on the smaller things. No loading screen/play button, sound effects were overpowering compared to the animation. Small things that I would have like to seen weren't in. (not story wise, animation wise).

Regardless, you did a good job. Obviously has an Alvin Earthworm style to it. If you need somebody to direct you and give tips/help I'm always available. I don't post my stuff here anymore on NG since it just gets flooded by the random hentai and crap.

Good job. :)
